Course and Clubhouse Etiquette (All Golfers)

Slow Play
It is the duty of each golfer to keep up with the game in front. If you are playing slowly you should without hesitation let the game behind you go through, do not wait to be asked.
Tips on how to avoid slow play:
  • Leave your clubs where you exit the green , not in front of it.
  • Mark your card off the green, as you await your next tee shot but not to hold up your playing partners if you are first away.
  • If you cannot score pick up your ball.
  • Should your ball off the tee be off course and maybe difficult to find , play a provisional.
  • Your round at Meltham should not take more than four hours, enjoy it.
Ladies - Wednesday
Ladies have priority on the course , could all gentlemen please without hesitation if you are playing and without being asked please stand to the side and wave them through.
